Londvolota recognises that many of the issues that SMEs face are non-technical business issues. To assist in overcoming these challenges, Londvolota provides a 1 year intervention programme that includes financial, technical and business developmental assistance, building in-house capabilities, competencies and skills linked to global standards. This has grown the SMEs into more successful and competitive Black-Owned companies in South Africa.
Londvolota has impacted communities through supporting entrepreneurs through educational workshops.
Additionally, more time is spent upfront on the diagnostics of the business before it joins the Programme. The focus is on identifying businesses that can be developed for the long-term, and that any risk taken is calculated. There is a specific interest in developing woman entrepreneurs.
Londvolota has worked effectively with multiple stakeholders: GE, SMEs, Business and Technical Development Companies and Finance providers to develop local companies capable of supplying a large multi-national.
Londvolota’s learnings have been shared with other companies and partners in an effort to further enrich supplier development activities in South Africa.
We support businesses that align with the sectors in which GE operates, including: transportation, oil and gas, energy management, healthcare, power and water, and aviation.
